8K VS 4K PHONE SCAN RESULTS
Just thought I'd try 8K out and see if it was good enough, but I feel that phone cameras 8K is just too poor at the moment as it lacks fine details compared to 4K, however downsampling it seems to add more detail than 4K alone holds? 4K on its own is pretty good tbh but it does appear that downsampling 8K works a treat. And its isnt much more of a chore if you just half the size straight after shooting completely omitting having to deal with the 8K footage itself, mind you id prefer to examine the 8K shots first just in case. The model was made using the Zephr 6 8K data. All faces shot on The Galaxy S21 Ultra.

FACE SCANNING WITH YOUR PHONE STEP-BY-STEP WORKFLOW

Hi, Here is my entire process from start to finish using some videos sent to me by a subscriber, I cut out some boring bits but also left in plenty as I just hate editing anything over 20m mins so apologies if there are some bad cuts and coughing and burping and stuff like that. I'll make more of these so if you still aren't sure don't worry. I also forgot to do the little round dots in the eye...

Unfortunately the airbrush have had a small nozzle and thicker even coats are harder to do. i did the best I could. • @Cloakfiend
      @Cloakfiend 3 місяці тому

      As i have more choice and i can cover the area quicker than photos and you tend to move less ireatically as well. Photos are fine but what if a few essential ones you thought were ok were, not? With video you also have the option of using different photos from the footage at more even distances apart leading to a better scan.

    Pro tip: mix up some regular resin like smooth-on, pour it in the hollow print and then roto-cast it by hand. Do a little bit at a time. This will help cure whatever resin residue left. Do this a couple of times. Let it set for a few hours until it’s fully cured. THEN use plaster to fill it up. Your welcome.

    • @Cloakfiend
      @Cloakfiend 3 місяці тому

      Now i would just cut a large piece out and cure it properly. This works well on fdm, but the whole uncured resin in cavities makes it a nono for resin.
